This Privacy Policy describes how Rokfood ("we", "our", or "the App") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the Rokfood mobile application. By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
About Rokfood
Rokfood is a service owned and operated by Hasrod Oy. The Rokfood mobile application is developed, released, and maintained by OfferZone Oy on behalf of Hasrod Oy. Hasrod Oy is the data controller for the information collected through the App.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Account Information
- Email address — used for authentication and account recovery
- Password — stored securely using Firebase Authentication (never stored in plain text)
1.2 Business Information
- Business ID (Y-tunnus) — used to identify your business account
- Business name, address, city, country, postal code
- Contact number
- Customer group, e-invoice address, e-invoice service ID
1.3 Order and Transaction Data
- Order details (items, quantities, prices, totals)
- VAT breakdown information
- Payment method and payment status
- Order notes
- Invoice and refund records
1.4 Product Data
- Product names, barcodes, prices, categories, and images
- Discount and pricing information
1.5 Camera Usage
- The App uses the device camera for barcode scanning to identify products
- Camera access is only activated when you use the scan feature
- No photos or video are stored — the camera feed is used solely for barcode detection
1.6 Local Storage
- The App stores a cached list of products locally on your device (using Hive) for offline access
- Language preference is stored locally on your device (using SharedPreferences)
1.7 Usage Analytics
- The App uses Algolia for product search functionality
- Search queries are sent to Algolia's servers to return product results

- To authenticate your account and manage login sessions
- To create and manage orders, invoices, and refunds
- To display your customer and product information
- To generate dashboard summaries (monthly, quarterly, yearly)
- To enable barcode scanning for product identification
- To enable product search functionality
- To provide e-invoicing functionality

4. Data Storage and Security
- Your data is stored securely in Google Cloud Firestore, which is hosted on Google Cloud Platform
- Authentication credentials are managed by Firebase Authentication
- Data in transit is encrypted using TLS/SSL
- Access to your data is restricted to your authenticated business account

We do not sell or rent your personal information to third parties. Your data is shared only with:
- Firebase (Google Cloud Platform) for data storage and authentication
- Algolia for search query processing
- Service providers as necessary to operate the App

- Your account data remains in the App as long as your account is active
- Order, invoice, and refund records are retained for accounting and business purposes
- Locally cached product data can be cleared by uninstalling the App
7. Your Rights
- You can request access to your personal data
- You can request correction of inaccurate data
- You can request deletion of your account and associated data
- You can revoke camera permission at any time through your device settings
8. Children's Privacy
The App is intended for business use and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 16.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted within the App or on this page with an updated revision date.
10. Data Deletion
You can request deletion of some or all of your data without deleting your account. To request deletion:
- Email us at info@rokfood.fi with the subject "Data Deletion Request"
- Include your Business ID (Y-tunnus) and registered email address in the message
- Specify which data you want deleted (e.g., personal details, order history, cached data)
Data that will be deleted upon request:
- Account information (email, name, phone number)
- Business contact details
- Locally cached product and preference data
Data that must be retained:
- Order, invoice, and refund records required by Finnish accounting law (retained for up to 10 years)
We will process your request within 30 days and confirm by email once complete.
10.1 Account Deletion
To delete your Rokfood account and all associated data:
- Email us at info@rokfood.fi with the subject "Account Deletion Request"
- Include your Business ID (Y-tunnus) and the email address registered to your account
- We will verify your identity and delete your account within 30 days
When your account is deleted, we permanently remove your account credentials, personal details, and business contact information. Order, invoice, and refund records are retained for up to 10 years as required by Finnish accounting law.
